EXECUTIVE MANAGEMENT TEAM
Chief Executive Officer
Brian joined Patriot as Chief Executive Officer in 2017, and is responsible for the company’s overall effectiveness and success, which includes all operational aspects of the company, the most important of which is the safety of Patriot’s employees and customers.
Prior to working with Patriot on the company’s automation and optimization initiative, Brian worked for over two decades in leading the development of strategic growth plans and tactical process improvements for multi-state/multi-unit service companies in a number of operationally intensive industries.
Brian's career includes prior positions as co-founder, Chief Operating Officer, and President of Vac One Services, co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of Consolidated Utility Services, and senior vice president of operations for UtiliQuest. Brian has a BA from Florida State University and an MS in Business Administration from Boston University.
Founder & Vice-Chairman
Tom founded Patriot Environmental Services in 2002, building the company from a small group in one office to its current footprint today. Under his guidance, Patriot earned tremendous respect in its field, and the company has become widely recognized as an industry leader, not only here in the Western U.S., but in other parts of the country where Patriot has responded at times as well. While Tom’s role has evolved and transitioned with respect to day-to-day operations, he continues to provide visionary guidance to the company's management team and Board of Directors.
Tom has over 30 years of experience in the environmental field, including emergency response management and logistics, industrial services, hazardous waste management, and remedial construction. As a native of New Jersey, Tom’s experience began on the east coast before transitioning to California in 1997, when he joined Foss Environmental, and he stayed there in various capacities until July 2002. Tom a graduate of Glassboro State College.
Chief Administrative Officer & President
Rich joined Patriot Environmental Services shortly after its inception in 2002, and oversaw the company’s day to day operations during the company's initial growth phase. He has been instrumental in the development of Patriot’s response strategy, infrastructure, and client relationship programs.
He previously served as the Regional Controller for Foss Environmental, working for Tom Scranton.
Rich has a B.B.A from the University of Southern California.
Chief Financial Officer
Greg is the Chief Financial Officer of Patriot Environmental Services. Greg is responsible for accounting/finance, risk management, and administration.
Greg has over 20 years of finance, fleet and operations experience in railroad, chemical warehousing, trucking, logistics, waste disposal and recycling.
Greg earned a Bachelor of Science from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona in Accounting and is a Certified Management Accountant.
Chief Operations Officer
Bob is the Chief Operations Officer of Patriot Environmental Services. Bob is responsible for Patriot's safety, quality, readiness, execution, and customer service across the company's operational footprint.
Bob has over 29 years of experience in leading and managing industrial field and facility service operations supporting customers in the oil and gas, commercial construction, and utilities industries. His previous roles include Director of Industrial Services at Clean Harbors in Carson, CA, VP of Operations, at Superior Environmental Solutions in Cincinnati, OH, West Coast VP of Operations at KM Industrial and President/Owner of Nielsen Pacific Corp.
Bob served in the US Air Force as a Helicopter Rescue Specialist from 1974 - 1988.
SENIOR MANAGEMENT TEAM
Regulatory Compliance & Patriot WasteWater
Josh is responsible for overseeing regulatory components associated with both the current and proposed waste water facilities for Patriot WasteWater. In addition, he assists with coordination and compliance related to waste handling, facility requirements with regulatory agencies, and with both planned and spill-related remediation projects.
In his 15 years of environmental consulting, he has helped his clients navigate California's complex regulations, and has served on strategic panels which monitor changing regulations and their effect on industry practices.
His experience includes some of the largest remediation projects on the west cost, storm water management, waste characterization, and management, CERCLA/RCRA reporting, air permitting, and several other issues relevant to environmental requirements.
Josh earned a B.S. degree from the University of California at Berkeley with a major in Geology. He is a registered Professional Geologist and Certified Hazardous Materials Manager in the state of California.
Mike Rudley is the Vice President of Operations and is responsible for working with our team of operations managers to ensure quality measures of safety, compliance, performance, customer satisfaction, and overall success are met.
Mike first began as an Environmental Technician at Patriot in 2007. Mike then went on to circulate the company departments by taking on roles in each and every department - to learn best standard operational practices and to apply them to Patriot directly.
Mike continues to feed his natural disposition of curiosity by fostering meaningful relationships with colleagues and clients to create a more effective style of management and stronger client-contractor relationships. Mike earned a B.S degree in Business from York College of Pennsylvania.
Drilling Support Services
Carl joined forces with Patriot in 2016 in an effort to provide turn-key environmental services with a waste first mentality. Carl’s expertise in logistics coordination, coupled with an intricate understanding of oilfield exploration & production operations, has led him to his current position as Vice President of Drilling Operations.
Carl also oversees business development and procurement efforts throughout Southern California, and more broadly, the southwestern United States (including Oregon & Washington).
As an alumni of both UC Santa Barbara and UCLA, Carl has brought an analytics-based approach to improve efficiency and implement best environmental practices.
Director, Health & Safety
Prior to joining in 2015, Andy had developed a strong background in safe work practices through professional training and field work while working for various Oil & Gas related companies including Shell, BP, Occidental Petroleum & Chevron Oil in and around the Central Valley. Combining his educational training focused on behavioral management and his professional experience, Andy has demonstrated his ability to work with individuals to inspire positive and responsible attitudes toward health & safety in order to ensure that each individual makes safety a value, rather than a priority.
Original hired as a Regional Health & Safety Manager to oversee approximately 100 employees in our Central California Regional including Ventura and Bakersfield, in 2016 Andy was promoted to Director of Health & Safety to oversee programs and overall management of Patriot’s Health & Safety Department. Under his direction, Patriot Environmental Services has seen in improvement in all Health & Safety KPI benchmarks including achieving a TRIR of 0.23 and EMR of 0.59, both of which are far below industry averages.
Director, Business Development
Steve's background includes over 30 years of upstream oil and gas operations, including technical management and leadership positions focused on production operations, drilling engineering, process facilities design, logistics support, regulatory compliance, economic and profitability analysis, strategic planning and joint ventures.
Steve has spent most of his career in the California LA basin in positions in the oil, gas and energy business in the capacities of reservoir, drilling and production engineering, strategic planning, project economics, contract negotiations as well as regulatory compliance for large independent oil and gas corporations, public utilities, as well as independent proprietors.
Steve earned a Bachelor of Science from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona with a combined major in Mechanical and Petroleum Engineering, and is a registered Professional Engineer in the state of California.
Technical Services Manager
As an original member of Patriot Environmental Services from 2002, Dale is the Technical Services Manager; responsible for corporate environmental regulatory compliance, response
to oil and hazardous materials incidents, hazardous waste management related projects, business development and project management.
Dale has over 38 years of experience managing environmental and emergency response related projects. His field experience includes leaking underground storage tank removal and subsequent site work; Phase I, II and III Environmental Site Assessment related activities; marine and industrial heavy duty cleaning; marine and inland vessel operation, as well as expertise in oil spill/hazardous materials emergency response, containment, recovery and disposal actions.
